As nationwide protests against President Yoon Suk-yeol's impeachment continue to spread, a "Save Korea National Emergency Prayer Rally" was held on February 15 at Geumnam-ro in Gwangju Metropolitan City.

On this day, citizens from across the country gathered to oppose President Yoon's impeachment and defend South Korea’s liberal democracy. The Christian civic group coalition "Save Korea" and others criticized the Democratic Party’s legislative overreach and called for the nullification of Yoon’s impeachment.

Speakers at the rally claimed that "the movement against President Yoon’s impeachment is ultimately a battle between liberal democracy and totalitarianism." They further warned that "South Korea is on the brink of becoming another Hong Kong", directly criticizing the Democratic Party’s censorship policies and alleged pro-China stance.
Gwangju is known as the most left-leaning region in South Korea.
