From October 11th to 20th, the city of Seoul will host the "2024 Han River Festival: Autumn Edition" across the Hangang River and eight surrounding parks.
Han River Festival is a seasonal event that showcases the beauty and joy of the Hangang River through various programs. The theme for this year’s autumn edition is “Healthy Hangang Walk,” offering 16 health and healing programs designed to rejuvenate both the body and mind after the tiring summer.
During the first week (October 11-13), the focus will be on physical health with programs under the theme “Complete Today’s Exercise at Hangang (Own Hang) Challenge.” Activities include jump rope sessions set to dance music, jumping fitness, paddleboard yoga, and a silent DJ party. These programs provide participants with an opportunity to assess their health and discover new physical abilities they might not have been aware of.
Challengers who complete at least three of the “Own Hang Challenge” programs will be awarded an eCruise ticket. To enter, participants must post a verification photo or hashtag on social media platforms such as Instagram, blogs, Facebook, or YouTube, and submit the post's URL via email.
From October 14th to 20th, the festival will shift focus to mental well-being, offering opportunities to enjoy the peaceful autumn scenery along the Han River . Events include a classical concert called "Autumn Sunset Concert" and a historical and cultural boat tour, accompanied by art and humanities lecturers.
Additionally, there will be a unique competition called the "1st Super Distraction Contest," aimed at discovering one's inner focus. Other events include the "Seoul Africa Festival," which showcases African culture, and the "Sebitseom Yacht & Kayak Festival," offering water leisure activities at discounted rates.
