The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization, will host the 2024 Korea Tourism Souvenir Expo on November 22–23 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Art Hall 1 in Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul.
Marking its third year, the expo is themed “A Souvenir Village Where Festivals Begin” and will showcase and sell over 120 unique souvenirs selected by region and category. Interest from related businesses has grown each year, with 262 companies applying to participate this year—a 12% increase from last year—out of which more than 120 were chosen.
This year’s event will display 25 award-winning pieces, including six entries from the newly established "Regional Specialty" category introduced in this year’s contest.
In addition, the expo will feature the latest trends in souvenirs, including processed foods, crafts, home goods, and fashion accessories.
Additionally, visitors can enjoy unique experiences such as:
Customizing keyboard caps with traditional Korean dancheong patterns, Crafting miniature Jindo dog figures dressed in bandanas featuring traditional motifs through the DIY Wrapping Jindo Miniature Kit, Creating personalized fragrances in the Incense Clay Blending Workshop.
Moreover, attendees can collect stamps by exploring the exhibition hall and receive special souvenirs, transforming the event into an interactive festival that offers visitors lasting memories beyond the typical display experience.
