The Constitutional Court rejected the voter count verification request on the 31st of last month, intensifying public backlash over alleged election fraud.
At the core of the controversy is the suspicion that a large number of fraudulent ballots were discovered during vote counting. To verify this claim, it is deemed essential to cross-check the officially reported voter count with the actual number of voters who participated.

On the previous day, President Yoon’s defense team attended a preparatory meeting of the National Defense Counsel in Yeouido, Seoul. During a subsequent press conference, the team stated:
They further explained, "We have submitted numerous pieces of evidence. Although one request was dismissed, we will continue to highlight various election management issues through other means."
Additionally, they emphasized, "We acknowledge that an election commission official who reviewed the electronic voting system has been accepted as a witness.
The legal team will submit additional evidence to ensure the court actively investigates the allegations of election fraud raised during the martial law period."
