<Korea News> Early winter cold weather will arrive next week.

Starting Monday, the 4th of next month, temperatures are expected to drop significantly.

In the southern regions and Jeju Island, it is forecasted that there will be slightly more rain than usual for autumn, continuing through Saturday.

According to an announcement by the Meteorological Agency on the 31st, a cold air mass is expected to reach its strongest level so far this fall, bringing temperatures down below seasonal averages from the 4th to the 6th of next month.

As the high-pressure system expands, cold air from the north will flow in, and winds are likely to strengthen, making it feel even colder.

From the 4th to the 5th, morning lows across the nation are expected to range from 1 to 14 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between 10 and 21 degrees—significantly cooler compared to the morning lows of 6 to 16 degrees and daytime highs of 20 to 24 degrees on the 31st.

The Meteorological Agency forecasts that from the 7th, which marks the seasonal turning point of Ipdong, the cold air mass will transition to a migratory high-pressure system, moving eastward and allowing southerly winds to bring temperatures gradually back to seasonal norms.

Rain is also expected on Friday and Saturday, November 1st and 2nd, especially in the southern regions and on Jeju Island, where strong rain with gusty winds and thunder may occur.
