Netflix Confirms Release Date for "Squid Game" Season 3.
Netflix has officially announced that "Squid Game" Season 3 will premiere on June 27.
The new season comes just six months after the release of Season 2 in December last year, marking a swift return for the globally popular series.
Netflix has described Season 3 as the final season, unveiling an official poster and new still images.
The streaming giant also hinted at the upcoming twists, stating:"The released images feature Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) who infiltrated the game in disguise, and new characters caught in an intense battle for survival."
Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, the mastermind behind the series, expressed his dedication:"We are committed to delivering another thrilling and unforgettable story."
During its Q1 earnings report on the 21st, Netflix highlighted the immense success of Season 2, predicting it would become one of the most-watched seasons in Netflix original series history.
The company also revealed that Squid Game Season 2 amassed 165.7 million views in Q4 last year, further cementing its status as a global phenomenon.
