Typhoon Jongdari, the ninth typhoon of the season, is moving northward towards South Korea. It is expected to directly impact Jeju Island by tomorrow afternoon.

Following that, the typhoon is projected to move up the west coast of South Korea by tomorrow night, bringing direct effects to the entire country.

According to the Meteorological Agency, this typhoon is relatively weak with strong winds of about 18 meters per second near its center. However, gusts can reach up to 25 meters per second, so they are urging people to prepare for wind damage.

Additionally, as the typhoon moves north, it is expected to intensify the heatwave and tropical nights.

The Meteorological Agency also warns that the hot and humid rain brought by the typhoon could prolong the heat, especially in inland areas, and advises people to prepare for extended periods of high temperatures.
