The weather will remain comfortable during the daytime with temperatures around 20°C until Saturday, but starting on Sunday, it’s expected to turn colder, with temperatures likely to plunge below freezing by Monday.
According to the Meteorological Agency’s forecast on the 14th, temperatures through Saturday (the 16th) are expected to range from 9–17°C in the morning and reach 18–22°C during the day, approximately 3–8°C higher than the seasonal average.
On Sunday the 17th, however, a cold continental high-pressure system will gradually extend southward, bringing a dip in temperatures.
Morning temperatures that day will range from 8–16°C, and daytime highs will be between 10–19°C, still somewhat above the average, though slightly cooler than the previous day.
However, temperatures in the central and southern regions are likely to vary considerably depending on how much the continental high-pressure area expands. In the capital region, temperatures are expected to be between 6–9°C in the morning and 10–12°C during the day.
On Monday the 18th, a significant cold spell will arrive, with morning temperatures dropping nearly 10°C from the previous day and strong winds making it feel even colder. Expected morning temperatures will be between -2°C and 10°C, with daytime highs of 6–17°C; areas in the central inland region may even fall below freezing, requiring precautions against the sudden temperature change.
In addition, from the 17th to the 18th, most areas across the country will experience strong winds, and ocean waves will be dangerously high, reaching 1–4 meters, necessitating caution for maritime safety.
