<Korean Info> Heavy rain this weekend... The heat will gradually ease.

Heavy rainfall of up to 250mm is expected across South Korea this weekend (September 21–22). After the rain, temperatures will cool down, and large temperature fluctuations between day and night are anticipated.


At a regular briefing on the 19th, the Korea Meteorological Administration announced, "The heatwave warnings for most regions are expected to be lifted by 4 PM today."


They also stated, "The heaviest rain is expected from Friday afternoon (September 20) to Saturday morning (September 21)," and noted that "particularly in the central regions, heavy rainfall of 30–50mm per hour is predicted."


The forecasted rainfall through the 21st is expected to be up to 250mm in mountainous areas of eastern Korea and Jeju Island.

nce the rain subsides, temperatures are expected to drop sharply next week (September 22–26). During this period, morning temperatures will range between 12–22°C, while daytime temperatures will fluctuate between 19–30°C.
