<Korean Info> How about a trip to Korea like this? The entire 4,500-km section of the “Korea-Dulle-Gil” is open to traffic for the first time in 15 years!

The "Korea Dulle-gil" trail, which has been developed to create an uninterrupted route around the Korean Peninsula, is now fully open to the public.

To commemorate this, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, along with the Korea Tourism Organization, is launching a campaign to promote eco-friendly travel.

On the 23rd, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization announced the "Low-Carbon Travel Week – Green Footprint Campaign," which will run from September 23 to October 13, celebrating the full opening of the Korea Dulle-gil.

The campaign aims to encourage low-carbon travel, including not only walking but also cycling and camping, while boosting local tourism through eco-friendly initiatives.

Courses in Korea Dulle-Gil

The "Dulnubi" app, which provides comprehensive information on walking tours with a focus on the Korea Dulle-gil, will launch a cross-country campaign spanning 4,500 kilometers.

After agreeing to participate, the first 5,000 people to complete a course will receive a mobile gift card. Additionally, five participants will be selected through a lottery to receive a trekking set worth 500,000 won (approximately 370 USD).

A variety of programs will also be available, including walking events along 45 recommended Korea Dulle-gil routes and the Korea Dulle-gil Walking Festival in collaboration with local governments.

In addition, a relay campaign will be held to promote cycling travel.

During Low-Carbon Travel Week, around 200 cycling enthusiasts and the general public will conduct final inspections of the 60 candidate locations for the nationwide self-guided cycling tour routes.

Based on feedback from campaign participants, the Korea Tourism Organization will finalize and announce the 60 selected self-guided cycling routes.

There will also be a variety of simultaneous programs, such as the "Low-Carbon Train," where both walkers and cyclists can participate, and a cycling stamp tour in Haenam-gun.
