The Netflix series Squid Game 2, which is breaking box office records worldwide, is once again being illegally distributed in China, following the pattern of its predecessor.

Currently, on the Chinese social media platform Douban, Squid Game 2 has a rating of 6.4 out of 10, with approximately 60,000 reviews.

Given that Netflix is inaccessible in China, it is highly likely that the series is being viewed illegally.

Additionally, there are about 3,900 posts in "Group Talk" discussions and approximately 28,000 comments in the "Short Reviews" section, further indicating that Squid Game 2 is being illegally streamed and reviewed by Chinese users who lack legal access to Netflix.

On the 31st, Professor Seo Kyung-deok of Sungkyunkwan University remarked, "This was also the case when Squid Game 1 was released. Watching stolen content has now become commonplace in China." He added, "What’s even more shocking is the complete lack of shame about it."

Furthermore, he emphasized, "Respecting content from other countries is the first step toward having one's own culture respected. Strict measures must be taken against such illegal actions by citizens."
