<Korean News> Beaker opens “Yuni Yoshida” pop-up store, featuring collaborative products.

Samsung C&T's fashion division announced that its select shop "BEAKER" has launched a collaboration line with Japanese graphic designer Yoshida Yuni and opened a pop-up store at its Hannam flagship location.

Yoshida Yuni is an art director known for her work across a wide range of fields, including advertising, packaging design, book covers, and album artwork. Her unique use of visual illusions and quirky, eye-catching design concepts has earned her significant recognition.

This marks BEAKER's first-ever collaboration with Yoshida Yuni. The collection features a variety of accessories, including laptop sleeves, pouches, cushions, plates, cups, and socks, all designed with playful visual effects. The designs creatively depict the color-changing process of objects like bananas and apples, using Yuni's signature optical illusion style.

Dubbed the "Alchemist of Illusions," Yuni is known for her preference for analog over digital methods, reconstructing the shapes and colors of objects in novel and imaginative ways.

Targeting the year-end holiday season, including Christmas, BEAKER curated this collection to evoke a sense of warmth and charm. For this project, Yoshida Yuni created exclusive designs that embody BEAKER’s distinct creative identity, resulting in a collection that is both unique and heartwarming.

Kim Kwang-yeon, head of BEAKER's Original Group, commented, "Through collaborations with global artists, BEAKER aims to offer fresh inspiration while strengthening our connection with younger generations." He added, "By integrating Yoshida Yuni's unique aesthetic into BEAKER's products, we plan to deliver a sense of joy and warmth in a sophisticated manner."
