Live Nation Korea, a concert planning company, announced today (22nd) that Oasis will perform in South Korea on October 21 next year at the Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province.
Oasis also shared the news on their official social media, posting, "Korea, our new friends, hold tight, Oasis is rolling out soon," along with an announcement of their upcoming performance in Korea.
This marks Oasis's first concert in Korea in 16 years, following the band's disbandment announcement in 2009. The breakup was reportedly caused by the strained relationship between the Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, the band’s core members.
Formed in 1991, Oasis released seven original albums, all of which reached number one on the UK music charts before their breakup. They produced numerous hit songs such as "Don’t Look Back in Anger" and "Live Forever," selling over 90 million albums worldwide.
Oasis will resume activities next July, beginning with a reunion tour in Wales. Following their concert in Korea, they plan to hold performances at Tokyo Dome in Japan on October 25 and 26.
