Coca Cola Beverage, a subsidiary of LG Household & Health Care, implemented a voluntary retirement program for some employees last month.
This is the first voluntary retirement since Coc Cola Beverage was acquired by LG Household & Health Care.
According to the distribution industry on the 16th, Coca Cola Beverage accepted applications for voluntary retirement over a 12-day period from November 4 to 15.
The eligible employees for this voluntary retirement were reportedly those working in the sales and logistics departments who were born before 1971.
Coca Cola Beverage offered applicants a severance package that included a lump-sum payment equivalent to 6 months to 2 years of basic annual salary, depending on their age.
In addition, the company decided to support children's educational expenses for up to four semesters.
However, the number of employees who applied for voluntary retirement has not been disclosed.
The parent company, LG Household & Health Care, explained that the voluntary retirement was implemented "to address personnel stagnation and create a healthy cycle within the organization."
