During a large-scale rally held in downtown Busan, the mobile communication network became paralyzed, causing significant inconvenience for citizens.
As a result, there are growing concerns that a similar situation may occur during another large gathering scheduled in Daegu on the 8th.

In response, South Korea's mobile communication companies, SKT and LG Uplus, have announced measures and begun taking action, while KT has yet to issue an official stance, drawing criticism.
On February 1st, a rally organized by the Christian group "Save Korea" took place at Busan Station Square, where citizens from across the country gathered to oppose President Yoon's impeachment.
However, the massive crowd caused network outages for the three major mobile carriers—SKT, KT, and LG Uplus—resulting in disruptions to phone services.
Calls, text messages, and mobile data connections were interrupted, and citizens faced significant inconvenience. Not only those attending the rally but also nearby citizens were affected.

One participant shared, "I tried to let my family know I had arrived, but I couldn’t get through at all," expressing frustration.
Local business owners also complained, stating, "I tried to take delivery orders, but the internet wouldn’t connect, so I couldn’t process payments or contact customers."
Many citizens also felt uneasy about not being able to reach emergency services, with one remarking, "If an accident had happened, I wouldn't have been able to contact 119 (fire) or 112 (police)."
This situation has raised serious concerns, with many pointing out that communication outages during large events are a critical issue.
