On the 13th, Seoul’s Mapo Police Station confirmed that they had received a report regarding obscene photos and texts being shared in an online café (internet forum) of Daea High School’s 15th graduating class in Jinju, Gyeongnam. Moon Hyun-bae is an alumnus of this school.

The case has been transferred to the Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for further investigation.

Earlier, a media outlet reported on the 11th that the internet café, which included Moon as a member, had been hosting explicit content for several years.

Following the report, lawmakers from the ruling People Power Party demanded an investigation, claiming that the Constitutional Court judge had neglected an online space where over 2,000 cases of illegal obscene material were uploaded and circulated.

In response to the controversy, the Constitutional Court issued a public statement on the same day, saying, "This forum is merely an alumni group. We request the police to conduct a thorough investigation, including a probe into possible hacking of the café."

Meanwhile, a parental rights group named "The Student, Parent, and Teacher Human Rights Protection Alliance" held a press conference in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency at 9:30 AM, calling for a swift investigation into Moon.

The organization also filed a formal complaint against Moon for allegedly violating child and youth protection laws and demanded his resignation.
