<Korean News> “Dark Moon” Floats Again at Lotte World

HYBE announced on the 2nd that they will be hosting “Dark Moon World,” featuring an expanded story of “Dark Moon,” at Lotte World from September 7 to November 17. This is their second collaboration, following the popularity of “Dark Moon with ENHYPEN in Lotte World” held last September.

This year, unlike last year’s collaboration which recreated the webtoon “Dark Moon: The Altar of the Moon” in the real world, the focus is on expanding and recreating the entire story of the “Dark Moon” series.

Not only “Dark Moon: The Altar of the Moon,” but also “The Children of Banfield by DARK MOON,” which was released as a webtoon in March this year and follows the growth of the seven protagonists, “Dark Moon: The Blood of Valg,” a story from a thousand years ago released as a web novel in April, and “Dark Moon: The Two Moons,” which is scheduled to be serialized in the first half of next year, can all be enjoyed throughout Magic Island at Lotte World.

During the festival period, visitors can experience the entire “Dark Moon” series across all three floors of the Magic Castle.

On the first floor, the Dark Moon Character Shop will sell a total of 11 items, including 10 new Dark Moon goods debuting at “Dark Moon World.”

The second floor, themed around the “Kingdom of Valg” from “The Blood of Valg,” will feature ancient costumes worn by the group ENHYPEN and the original drawings of the “The Blood of Valg” webtoon will be unveiled for the first time.

On the third floor, visitors can enjoy a realistic experience as if they have entered the world of the webtoon, with a recreated dorm room from “Doselis Academy,” the setting of “The Altar of the Moon,” and life-sized panels of the seven vampire characters.

As the sun sets, the highlight of the festival, the mapping show (a show that projects images along with music), begins. Visitors can enjoy the dazzling visual show of Dark Moon accompanied by music every night. Last year’s mapping show featured two songs from the OST of “Dark Moon: The Altar of the Moon,” “One In A Billion” and “CRIMINAL LOVE.” This year, all six songs from the Dark Moon special album “MEMORABILIA” will be played.

The visual story projected along with the music has also become richer. Following the progression of the “Dark Moon” storyline, it starts with “The Blood of Valg,” a story from a thousand years ago, then moves on to “The Children of Banfield,” and “The Altar of the Moon.” At the end of the show, the red moon turns green, hinting at the prologue of the new work “The Two Moons.”

Additionally, visitors can enjoy the “Blood Moon” photo zone object, which has different effects during the day and night, and the “Moon Boat” on Seokchon Lake, featuring the jersey numbers of the seven protagonists from Night Ball. The rotating swing from “The Two Moons,” surrounded by elm trees, will further enhance the festival atmosphere.
