The National Heritage Promotion Agency announced on the 21st that it will expand the operation of the "National Heritage Visitor Passport Tour."
The "National Heritage Visit Campaign" is a program jointly promoted by the National Heritage Agency and the National Heritage Promotion Agency to rediscover the value of Korea's national heritage, the prototype of Korean culture, and to spread its beauty.
As part of this, the "National Heritage Visitor Passport Tour" is an experiential program where participants travel through 76 national heritage sites across the country, collecting stamps in a specially designed "Visitor Passport" for each location. Last year, the program received more than 120,000 applications, gaining popularity.
This year, to enable more citizens to enjoy visiting national heritage sites, the number of visitor passports produced will be significantly increased from 120,000 to 250,000. The National Heritage Promotion Agency has designated the 10th and 20th of each month as "National Heritage Visitor Passport Application Days" and will accept 10,000 passport applications on each of these days.
Applications can be submitted through the official website of the "National Heritage Visit Campaign" from 2 p.m. on the 10th and 20th of every month. The number of regular passport distribution days will be increased from once to twice a month, enhancing convenience for applicants to receive their passports quickly.
