The famous Japanese yakitori chain "Torikizoku" has opened its first store in Seoul's Hongdae area.
According to the industry on the 1st, Torikizoku held the grand opening of its first Korean branch on the 28th of last month, located near Hongdae's "Street to Walk On." The opening ceremony was attended by Takashi Okura, President of Torikizoku Holdings, who visited the store to oversee the launch.
Torikizoku recently opened its first international store in Taipei, Taiwan, on the 20th of last month, and is now focusing on expanding into the Asian market with the launch of its Seoul branch.
President Okura commented, "The first Torikizoku store was just 10 tsubo (33 square meters) with only 26 seats, a small operation, but from the start, I was confident it would become a major franchise." He added, "We have worked hard to provide high-quality service at an affordable price, and I hope Korean customers will enjoy their time at Torikizoku as well."
