According to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), a heavy snow warning was issued at 3:30 PM today (the 6th) for most areas of Seoul and Gyeonggi Province.
Currently, heavy snow warnings have also been issued for Incheon and the northwestern part of Chungcheongnam-do.
The KMA predicts that by tomorrow, up to 10 cm of snow is expected to accumulate in the Seoul metropolitan area, including Seoul, while up to 15 cm or more could accumulate in the Chungcheong region and the southwestern coast of Hunan.
In particular, strong snowfall of 3 to 5 cm per hour is expected in southern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, and Hunan regions, raising concerns about potential damage.
Snowfall is expected to gradually ease in the central region, including the capital area, by tomorrow afternoon. However, snowfall is forecast to continue in the Hunan region and Jeju Island until the weekend.
