Interpark Ticket is introducing a new service called "Facial Recognition Pass," which uses facial recognition technology to assist audience members with venue entry.
On December 23, Interpark Triple announced that its platform "Interpark Ticket" would debut the Facial Recognition Pass at the "TWS (Tours) Fan Meeting," scheduled to take place at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in February next year.
The Facial Recognition Pass system allows audience members to register their faces with their accounts. Upon arriving at the venue, the system verifies their identity by matching the registered face with the live scan.
This service eliminates the need for traditional ticket or ID checks, enabling attendees to enter by simply passing through gates equipped with facial recognition devices.
Interpark Ticket plans to gradually expand the use of the Facial Recognition Pass across other events and venues.
The registered facial data is stored and managed not as photo files but as encrypted pattern information. Interpark emphasized that this data would be used exclusively for identity verification during event entry.
The Chief Technology Officer of Interpark Triple stated, “With the introduction of the Facial Recognition Pass, we expect to significantly reduce entry wait times, which previously took up to two hours.”
