<Korean News> Korea and Japan, A Red Sign for Sleep Quality?

According to a study on global sleep quality, South Korea scored approximately 5 points lower than the world average.



Garmin, a U.S.-based smart device company, released its "2024 Garmin Connect Data Report" on the 24th, analyzing health and fitness data recorded via its products worldwide.

The report revealed that the global average for the "Body Battery" score, which reflects daily energy levels, was 71 points.


The Netherlands achieved the highest Body Battery score with an average of 74 points, while Japan recorded the lowest at 66 points. South Korea scored 68 points, slightly below the global average.


South Korea also fell short in terms of sleep quality.

This year’s global average sleep score was 71, indicating a "moderate" level of sleep quality, but South Korea scored only 66 points. The Netherlands led the rankings with 73 points, while Indonesia had the lowest sleep quality score at 64 points.


Additionally, the report included stress levels measured using Garmin watches.

South Korea's stress level was recorded at 28 points, slightly lower than the global average of 30 points. Conversely, Malaysia had the highest stress level at 33 points.
