Lotte Department Store announced on the 30th that it will launch its "Christmas Showtime" campaign for the year-end season.
Last year, under the theme "My Dearest Wish," the store nostalgically highlighted the joy of reconnecting through handwritten letters, capturing a heartfelt, analog sentiment that resonated widely with the public.
The main branch, renowned as a prime spot for Christmas illuminations, saw significant foot traffic during the two months the lights were displayed (November to December last year). Evening visitors surged, driving notable increases in sales, especially in food and beverage.
Starting November 1, Lotte Department Store and Lotte Outlet branches nationwide will begin unveiling their Christmas decorations. This year's theme, "Wonderful Showtime," brings even more vibrant and accessible holiday decor than in previous years, especially at the flagship store.
Three large show windows, created in collaboration with well-known Korean artists, will feature displays evoking various performance scenes like jazz and circus acts.
At the main entrance, a photo zone styled as a ticket booth will be installed, along with an inaugural light show projected on the building’s exterior. Designed to be enjoyed from the department store’s front, the light show will run every 30 minutes from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., with each display lasting approximately two minutes.
Additionally, a large media facade at Young Plaza will screen performance videos set within the store and themed around popular Christmas gifts like cosmetics, desserts, jewelry, and wine.
Following its success last year in Jamsil, the "Christmas Market" will return this December, expanding to both the Jamsil World Park lawn and Time Villas in Suwon.
