On January 29 and 30, when a surge in returning travelers is expected during the Lunar New Year, the final subway and city bus services will be extended until 2 a.m.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced the implementation of the "2025 Lunar New Year Comprehensive Plan" to prioritize the safety of Seoul citizens, the convenience of returning and visiting travelers, and the stabilization of public welfare during the holiday period.
On the day of the Lunar New Year and the following day, an additional 118 subway trips will be operated to ensure the last trains on lines 1 to 9, the Ui-Sinseol Line, and the Sinlim Line reach their final stations by 2 a.m. the next day
City buses will also adjust their schedules, with the last buses from five major train stations, including Seoul Station, and three major terminals, including the Express Bus Terminal, passing through until 2 a.m.
The N-night buses will continue to operate as usual during the Lunar New Year holiday period.
To facilitate smooth travel for those returning home, express and intercity buses departing from Seoul will increase their operations by 20% from January 24 to February 3, a total of 11 days.
This increase of 654 trips per day will allow for the transportation of approximately 19,000 additional passengers, 33% more than usual.
Real-time transportation information, including updates on public transport usage and unexpected situations on major roads during the holiday, can be checked on the TOPIS official website (topis.seoul.go.kr), the X account (@seoultopis), and the "Seoul Transportation Portal" app.
