On the 4th, South Korean food manufacturer and seller Dongseo Foods announced the launch of its new sugar-free product, Maxim Mocha Gold Zero Sugar Coffee Mix.

This new product has been introduced to align with the "Zero (0) Trend" and uses alternative sweeteners like erythritol and polyglycitol instead of sugar or glucose syrup in the coffee mix’s ingredients. As a result, it meets the zero-sugar product standard of "less than 0.5g of sugar per 100g" while still offering a sweet taste.
The coffee itself uses the same ingredients as the existing Maxim Mocha Gold Coffee Mix, preserving the original aroma and flavor.
The price of Maxim Mocha Gold Zero Sugar is set at 5,250 KRW for a pack of 20 and 12,900 KRW for a pack of 50, which is more expensive than the standard Maxim Mocha Gold Coffee Mix. This is due to the higher cost of alternative sweeteners compared to traditional sugar ingredients.
In comparison, the prices for the existing Maxim Mocha Gold Coffee Mix are 4,240 KRW for a pack of 20 and 9,700 KRW for a pack of 50, based on E-Mart retail pricing.
