Nihonshu Korea has announced the first-ever release of "Special Junmai Sake," the flagship product of Hokkaido's renowned Otokoyama Brewery, at E-Mart and E-Mart Traders.
The growing demand for sake (Japanese rice wine) this year, driven by increased consumer interest and higher sales through major retail outlets such as large supermarkets and convenience stores, has prompted this move, according to Nihonshu Korea.
"Otokoyama Special Junmai Sake" (720ml) is a signature product of Hokkaido's Otokoyama Brewery. It is known for its subtle aroma of green apples and a dry yet rich umami flavor. With its crisp, clean finish, this sake has earned high praise not only in Japan but also in international markets, where the majority of its production is exported.
The sake has an alcohol content of 16% and is made using "Miyama Nishiki" sake rice, with a rice polishing ratio of 55%.
A representative from Nihonshu Korea commented, "The entry into E-Mart marks a significant milestone, and we plan to actively promote the product going forward." They also stated, "For those who have been wanting to experience the taste of Otokoyama's sake, this is an unbeatable opportunity."
