<Korean News> On New Year's Day, department stores will not be open, so please go to “Marts and Outlets” for shopping.

Lotte, Shinsegae, Hyundai, and Galleria department stores will remain closed on New Year’s Day.

While some large discount stores, hypermarkets, and multi-purpose malls will operate partially, shoppers are advised to check the operating status of stores in advance.

<Lotte Department Store - Main Branch>

According to industry reports on the 31st, Lotte Department Store, Shinsegae Department Store, Hyundai Department Store, and Galleria Department Store will close all locations on January 1, 2025.

Additionally, while closing hours were typically extended on December 31 in preparation for the New Year holiday, this year stores will close at their regular times.

<Hyundai Premium Outlets>

Some Lotte Outlets locations will remain open. Suburban outlets, including eight Lotte Premium Outlets (Dongbusan, Gimhae, Giheung, Icheon, Paju, Uiwang, Lotte Outlet Icia Polis, and Buyeo), as well as four urban outlets (Suwon, Cheongju, Jinju, and Gunsan), will operate as usual.

The Hyundai Seoul branch will not open, but all Hyundai Premium Outlet locations and Hyundai Connect will remain in service.

All Starfield locations will also operate as usual.

<E-Mart Yongsan Branch>

As for hypermarkets, E-Mart, Lotte Mart, and Homeplus stores nationwide will maintain normal operations.

However, in light of the national mourning period following the Muan Airport tragedy, planned New Year’s events will proceed, but additional promotions will be refrained from.
