The heaviest November snowfall in 117 years has been recorded.
On the 27th, Seoul officially observed over 16 cm of snowfall, marking the highest amount since modern meteorological observations began in 1907.
In some areas, including northeastern Seoul and Gangwon Province, snowfall is approaching 20 cm.
Heavy snow warnings have been issued for the capital region, the inland mountainous areas of Gangwon, the eastern part of North Jeolla Province, and the northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang Province.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, rain or snow is expected across most regions of the country until the morning of the 28th. In the inland mountainous areas of central and southern Gangwon and in the inland areas of North Gyeongsang Province, precipitation is forecast to continue until tomorrow afternoon, while southern Gyeonggi Province may experience rain or snow until late tomorrow night.
