The series achieved 68 million views and ranked #1 in 92 countries.

This sets a new record for the highest debut week viewership on Netflix. The previous record was held by Wednesday Season 1 in 2022, which garnered 50.1 million views.

According to FlixPatrol, a global content ranking site for online streaming services (OTT), "Squid Game 2" ranked #1 in Netflix's global TV Program Top 10 just two days after its release.

It became the most-watched TV program in all 93 countries tracked by the site.

Compared to Season 1, which took eight days to achieve the #1 spot, the sequel has reached this milestone at a much faster pace.

While domestic and international reviews on the content's quality are somewhat divided, "Squid Game 2" has undeniably dominated in terms of commercial success.
