<Korean News> Starbucks also joins the subscription service!

Starbucks Korea is introducing a subscription service to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Starbucks launches its first subscription service (Buddy Pass).

Starting from the 1st of next month, Starbucks will launch a trial of its subscription service, called "Buddy Pass," for a period of three months.

For a monthly fee of 9,900 won (about 7.4 usd), subscribers can receive a 30% discount on handcrafted beverages purchased after 2 p.m. each day. This discount applies whether you order at the counter or via the mobile app.

For example, when subscribers order a tall-sized café latte, priced at 5,000 won (about 3.7 usd), they can enjoy a discount of 1,500 won (about 1.1 usd) per purchase. This means that after just seven uses, the benefits will outweigh the subscription cost, offering significant savings for frequent Starbucks customers, according to Starbucks Korea.

Additionally, subscribers will receive a 30% discount on food, free delivery service, and a free shipping coupon for the online store once per month.

Starbucks plans to analyze the tangible benefits to users during the three-month trial period before deciding whether to continue the service.
