<Korean News> Strongest cold wave from the 7th to the weekend, cold wave warning for the whole country.

From January 7 to the weekend of the 11th, the strongest cold wave of this winter is expected to hit. Heavy snowfall is also forecasted for the Chungnam and Jeolla regions from the 7th to the 9th.



The Korea Meteorological Administration reported on the 6th that cold air will descend starting on the 7th, leading to a drop in temperatures and likely resulting in cold wave warnings being issued for most areas, including Seoul.


The nationwide morning low temperatures on the 7th are expected to range between -13°C and 0°C, approximately 5 to 10 degrees lower than the range of -4°C to 5°C on the 6th.


The forecasted minimum and maximum temperatures for major cities on the 7th are as follows: Seoul, -6°C to 1°C; Chuncheon, -10°C to 0°C; Daejeon, -5°C to 3°C; Gwangju, -2°C to 4°C; Daegu, -4°C to 5°C; Busan, -1°C to 7°C; and Jeju, 5°C to 9°C.
