It has been revealed that 27 universities across the nation have decided to raise tuition fees, with expectations that more universities may follow suit.

On the 23rd, the National Association of Private University Presidents (NAPUP) released a report titled "2025 Academic Year Tuition Increase Status," announcing that as of the 21st, 23 private universities and 4 national and public universities have decided to raise tuition fees.
By region, 16 universities in the metropolitan area and 11 universities outside the metropolitan area have decided on tuition hikes.
The increase rates range from 2.20% to 5.48% for private universities and from 4.96% to 5.49% for national and public universities.
NAPUP also reported that 13 universities are currently deliberating tuition hikes in their tuition review committees, with the number potentially reaching up to 40 universities.
Meanwhile, 27 universities have decided to freeze tuition fees, comprising 8 private universities and 19 national and public universities.
By region, 5 universities in the metropolitan area and 22 universities outside the metropolitan area have decided to maintain their current tuition levels.
