<Korean News> Why did BTS armies from 58 countries issue a statement?

In response to the controversy surrounding BTS member Suga and the drinking scooter incident, ARMYs from 58 countries have issued a statement expressing their support for all seven members of BTS. The statement emphasizes their unwavering support for the group as a whole.

On the 9th, 127 ARMY groups from 58 countries issued a joint statement, declaring, “The Global ARMY Alliance will not demand responsibilities from the members beyond what is legally required.” They emphasized, “No one has the right to impose decisions on BTS regarding their future direction.”

The ARMYs also criticized some of the “Suga departure surveys,” stating, “The format lacks both identity verification and a mechanism to prove ARMY membership, allowing non-ARMY individuals, including antis, to participate freely.” They argued, “Consent forms conducted in such an inadequate manner, without even basic measures to verify participants, do not hold any representativeness.”
