Last weekend, the "Daejeon Bread Festival" in Korea was held with great success, and visitor reviews have been drawing attention.
On the 30th, photos capturing scenes from the "2024 Daejeon Bread Festival" were posted across online communities and social media platforms.
The festival drew large crowds eager to visit the gathering of famous bakeries from across the country, with reports of visitors waiting in line for 2-3 hours.
Held over two days, from the 28th to the 29th, the festival featured more than 80 renowned bakeries from across Korea, including Daejeon’s famous "Sungsimdang," Jeonju’s "Heundeok Bakery," Gongju’s "Book 35 Bakery," and Yesan’s "Eunbong Sanghoe," among many others.
In addition to bread sales, the festival offered a variety of events, such as a bread collection exhibit, bread-making experiences, a music festival, recreational activities, and even bread climbing, further enhancing the enjoyment of visitors.
However, the massive turnout led to some complaints.
One online user remarked, “It wasn’t a bread festival; it was a bread hell,” adding, “I waited endlessly in a line that seemed to have no beginning or end, feeling like I was being punished in an eternal ‘bread hell’ where I could never actually buy any bread.”
Others shared similar sentiments, saying, “It wasn’t a bread festival, it was a human festival,” “There was no way you’d ever get in no matter how long you waited,” and “Instead of enjoying the bread, I was exhausted from the sheer mass of people.”
