Jung-gu, Busan announced on the 13th that it will host the "2024 Gwangbok-ro Winter Light Tree Festival" for 80 days, starting on November 15.
This year’s theme, “Masterpieces of Gwangbok Lights,” will feature light installations that capture the history and culture of Jung-gu.
The festival will kick off on the 15th with an opening ceremony on a special stage in front of the main tree and will continue until February 2 next year.
For this festival, anamorphic and hologram media technologies—introduced in Busan for the first time—will be incorporated into the main tree’s design to showcase captivating visual content.
In addition, various interactive events, including street performances, are scheduled to take place along Gwangbok-ro next month.
Furthermore, starting on the 18th, a variety of light installations will be set up along a 2-kilometer stretch from Hae-kwang High School to the Sky Observatory in Yeongju-dong.
